...and there's the final whistle!
A match that has seen everything from a couple of goals to a straight red for Liverpool's talisman to some late-match histrionics btwn. the sides has unfortunately gone to the Red Devils....your final score from Anfield: Manchester United 2, Liverpool 1.

...and on retrospective view, I'm still wondering what the hell was going through Steven Gerrard's mind w/that stamp on Ander Herrera...I mean, you could tell by the reaction afterward that Gerrard knew he getting booked for it....but red? You know, I'm still a bit lost for words over it.... sad1 sad1

I'm still wondering what he was thinking.... sad1 ...almost as soon as he stamps on Herrera, he looks around as if he knows he's getting booked....a loss for words, that's for sure.

Now, in retrospective....today's loss ends an unbroken streak of matches Liverpool's had since the 3-0 drubbing we suffered at Old Trafford earlier in the year; in that time, we've gone from 12th in the League to 5th in the League. Even though we're now 5 pts bakc of United, we've still a decent shot at a top-4 position and the teams above us from 2nd-4th (City, Arsenal & United) have equally tough if not tougher end-season matches than Liverpool does, so - with all due respect to a certain captain - if we can keep our heads calm and keep fighting, we've still got a decent shot at a Champions League berth.

As much as we might want to blame various things - or people - today, let's not forget that we have a relatively young, progressive-thinking manager and a relatively young side that's gone from being out of Europe - and well in the financial red - to being back in Europe and, for the first time in recent memory, back in the financial black. If Liverpool keep it, over time, the results will come. Are there going to be days like this? Hell yes...but its' how you get up from those days that define us as a team, that define us as a fan base. If we stay united - team, fans, players - great things are ahead. We just have to dust ourselves off and keep on marching forward.

and I know ... when it's better to hide, unsure1 never any wind-ups from me and our lads ... but it's been a great run, and the outcome looks far, far better than it did two or three months ago thumb1
